Producer Jake One Breaks Down Making Drake’s “Furthest Thing”

jake
Aspiring producers and Drake fans can now discover how his “Furthest Thing” song came together. Jake One recently spoke with Snare Jordan to discuss how he made the beat for track two off Drizzy’sNothing Was The Same.
The man who has also created production for 50 Cent, T.I., and Rick Ross explains how he experimented with Pro Tools for the drums and reinterpreted the sample on “Furthest Thing.”
Jake also talks about how he connected with Drake through social media. He says did not realize the rapper was following him on Twitter until fans informed him. The Seattle native reached out to Drake through tweets and then later sent him beats for review. Eventually, the “Furthest Thing” track was selected for the album.
“Over the course of like a year, he picked a bunch of beats and that was the one that ended up making it,” reveals Jake.

Richard Sherman: The NFL Banning The N-Word Is” Almost Racist”

richard-sherman
Do we live in a post-racial America where banning an racially offensive word is offensive? According to Seattle Seahawks’ corner Richard Sherman, we do as he gave his opinions on the NFL’s recent attempt at banning the N-word from being said on field.
At a March owners’ meeting, it is being speculated that the NFL’s competition committee will put in place a rule that would penalize teams 15 yards if players utter the N-word. In a recent interview with  themmqb.comthe Super Bowl winning Sherman disapproves of the banning, partially on the grounds that other offensive language will not been penalized:
[Banning the n-word] is an atrocious idea. It’s almost racist, to me. Why wouldn’t all curse words be banned then.
The Fritz Pollard Alliance, an organization that monitors diversity in the NFL, has led the charge for the rule. The head of the group, John Wooten informed ESPN.com that he believes the 15 yard penalty should escalate to ejections for multiple players:
I’ll even accept the fact that they say we’re going to warn them in preseason but during the [regular-season] games, if it comes up, we’re going to take him to the sideline to the coach and tell the coach, ‘Coach this a warning. Next time he’s out of here.’ I want it to be that drastic
The rule will be discussed and voted for approval at this year’s owner’s meeting from March 26th-March 29th in Orlando, Fla.

Rick Ross: If The Illuminati Was Like Men In Black I’d Invite Them To My Home

Rick Ross - Mastermind
Rick Ross is a rapper, entrepreneur, former correctional officer, father but he has never been a member of a mysterious occult. In a recent interview, Ross not only laughed off the persistent rumors of his affiliation with the Illuminati, but also theorized a scenario in which he would be open to joining the group.
While speaking with Rolling Stone for their upcoming issue, Ross says the Illuminati rumors not only humor him but compliments the rapper’s success:
It’s a compliment. Like, ‘Wow, I made it, I’m in the Illuminati!’ But people who say shit like that, to me, are like people who believe in f*cking magic.
Later in the interview, Ross makes peace with all magicians by stating that “avid Copperfield is a close homey of mine”. The Mastermind rapper even gives a scenario in which he would all the Illuminati members to hang with him at his house:
If the Illuminati was like Men in Black, I would’ve been told them to come to the house. You mean they just pull up and zap you and you’re successful and rich? Shut the f*ck up! You know, I just smile and keep it going, man.
